At Emma & James Boutique, customer satisfaction is very important to us. However, we understand that there may be occasions where you wish to return a product. This Return & Refund Policy explains the conditions and procedures clearly.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • A return request can only be submitted after you have physically received the item.

  • All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, including international shipping and any customs-related charges.

  • Items must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged, in their original condition.

  • All original tags, labels, and packaging must remain attached and intact.

  • Trying on an item to assess fit is permitted; wearing the item beyond fitting purposes is not allowed.

  • Orders placed with the deliberate intention of ordering multiple sizes or variations to return part of the order are not eligible for return approval.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow the steps below:

  1. Contact our customer support team at info@emmajamesboutique.com within 30 days of receiving your order to request a return.

  2. Once your return request is approved, you will receive the return address of our supplier.

  3. Returned items must be shipped entirely at your own expense, including shipping fees, customs duties, and handling costs.

  4. We strongly recommend using a shipping method with track & trace, as we are not responsible for lost return shipments.

Please note that our suppliers are located internationally, which may affect return shipping times and costs.

3. Refunds

After the returned item has arrived at the designated return address and has been inspected and approved, your refund will be processed.

  • Refunds are issued within 14 days of approval

  • Refunds are made via the original payment method

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

If the returned item shows signs of use, damage, or does not meet the return conditions, the refund may be partially issued or declined.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

The return conditions outlined in this policy apply to change-of-mind returns and do not limit your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law.

5. Liability & Address Accuracy

  • Emma & James Boutique is not responsible for lost packages if tracking information confirms delivery to the address provided by the customer.

  • Customers are fully responsible for ensuring that their shipping address is entered correctly at checkout.

  • Any address errors must be reported within 24 hours of placing the order. Changes requested after this period cannot be guaranteed.
